When it comes to visualizing and analyzing data, making things obvious and understandable is paramount. So, when you look at a column in a report and it reads ‘Name’, the first thing you’re probably questioning is “name of what?” Name of a project? Name of a lease? Name of an asset? Name of a service request ticket? You will likely scan through the rest of the data to get some context, as well as get the underlying data source label updated so the field name isn’t so vague. Depending on your business processes, the tool used to create the report, and who the author of the report is, you could be waiting a while for this change to be made.
Understanding the importance of being able to make reporting more efficient, with Kurve v1.26, you can now more easily relabel TRIRIGA field labels directly in the report itself in just a couple clicks.
When considering the least (1) to most (4) time-consuming methods to update column headers:
A friendly reminder: By tailoring your column labels to your specific needs, you only change the fields labels as viewed in the Kurve report. Breathe a collective sigh of relief TRIRIGA admins and developers, there is no altering of the underlying data structure with this feature!
Accessibility is a core focus in Kurve v1.26. A thorough and comprehensive review was conducted, and important updates were made to ensure that Kurve is more usable for everyone. The team performed rigorous testing to comply with industry-leading accessibility standards, resulting in several key improvements:
Accessibility work is never done. As the needs of users evolve, so must features and functionality. The Kurve team is committed to continuously improving the tool to ensure it remains inclusive and accessible for all users. These updates are continuous, and the team will keep enhancing the app to meet the diverse needs of the TRIRIGA community. By making Kurve more inclusive, we ensure that all users, regardless of their needs, can navigate and utilize the app effectively, creating a better experience for everyone!
Navigating large datasets can be challenging, especially when you need to keep track of summary information while scrolling. Kurve v1.26 addresses this with the new Sticky Summary Row feature.
A summary row is a dedicated row at the bottom of a Kurve report that aggregates key data from the dataset. Depending on which columns you’d like to aggregate, it could include totals, averages, counts or other summary statistics that provide a quick snapshot of the entire dataset.
This row is crucial for understanding the overall trends and insights without have to manually calculate these figures from individual data points.
When toggled on, the summary row remains fixed, in-view, at the bottom of the report as you scroll down. This enhancement improves usability and readability, ensuring that critical summary data is always in view, making it easier to analyze and compare information.
Customization is a key aspect of effective data visualization, but sometimes you need to start fresh.
The new Reset Legend Settings button in Kurve v1.26 allows you to quickly revert the legend back to its default settings. This feature is particularly useful when experimenting with different visual configurations and ensures that you can easily return to a clean slate without manually undoing changes.
