Are you ready to transform how you handle reporting and data visualization within IBM Maximo (now known as Manage) and TRIRIGA (now known as Maximo Real Estate and Facilities (MREF))? Regardless of what you call your system of truth, Kurve is here to revolutionize your experience with real-time, user-friendly reporting that puts the power directly in your hands. Whether you’re attending a conference and scanning our QR code or just exploring better reporting options, you’re in the right place.

Let’s dive into why Kurve is a game-changer for Maximo Application Suite(MAS)/Maximo/Manage/TRIRIGA/MREF (woof, that’s a lot of names – click here for a quick refresher on all the key words, acronyms and changes)!

📊 What is Kurve?

Kurve is a cutting-edge reporting application designed to integrate seamlessly with IBM Maximo and IBM TRIRIGA. It empowers end users to create, customize, and share real-time reports and charts—without needing technical expertise.

Why We Created Kurve

We understand the frustration that comes with traditional reporting systems:

  • Wasting time adjusting graphs and reports as requirements evolve.
  • Relying on experts to create even the simplest reports.
  • Exporting data to Excel for visualization—only to lose the ability to view real-time data in the system.

✅ How Kurve Solves These Challenges

Kurve makes reporting effortless by allowing users to:

  • Create interactive charts and graphs directly within Maximo and TRIRIGA.
  • Leverage object structures (Maximo) or community reports (TRIRIGA) as query sources.
  • Access real-time insights without relying on third-party tools or IT support.

Kurve Gives You More Than Just Actionable Insights

  • ✅ Save Time – No more waiting on IT to generate reports.
  • ✅ Save Money – Reduces dependency on expensive reporting tools and resources.
  • Empower End Users - Lets business users take control of their data and reporting needs

Kurve is compatible with IBM's:

Manage/Maximo
Maximo Real Estate and Facilities (MREF)/TRIRIGA

What are MAS Operational Dashboards?

If you've used Start Centers in Maximo v7.6, you’re already familiar with the concept. Start Centers are the homepage or landing page that shows key tasks, metrics, and action items relevant to users.

How Start Centers Work

  • Built using portlets that display different types of information and functionality.
  • Kurve generates a unique URL for graphs or reports, which you can insert into a portlet to display real-time, interactive charts.

Introducing Operational Dashboards

With MAS 9 (aka Manage), IBM is transitioning Start Centers into Operational Dashboards—with more flexibility and customization.

Key Changes in Operational Dashboards:

  1. Portlets → Cards – Operational Dashboards use "cards" instead of portlets.
  2. Flexible Layout – 8 different size options + drag-and-drop reordering.

Displaying a Kurve Chart in Operational Dashboards:

  1. Select the "External Card" option from the Card Gallery.
  2. Input the Kurve-generated URL.
  3. Give your card a title and size—and you’re ready to go!

The Future of Maximo and TRIRIGA – A Quick Refresher on Keywords, Acronyms, and the Changes Upcoming

The systems we know and love, Maximo and TRIRIGA, are going through a rebrand. This shift reflects IBM’s broader strategy to align Asset Lifecycle Management. While the names, licensing model, and deployment architectures are changing, the core functionality and reliability you’ve come to trust remain the same.

Here’s a rundown of some keywords and acronyms you’ll hear:

Asset Lifecycle Management

Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) refers to the process of managing assets—from acquisition to disposal. This includes both:

  • Physical assets – Machinery, vehicles, infrastructure, real estate
  • Digital assets – Software, data, and other technology-based resources

IBM has streamlined its offerings under the concept of Asset Lifecycle Management, introducing a new licensing structure called the Maximo Application Suite (MAS) to make it easier for businesses to select and manage the right tools for their needs.

Maximo Application Suite (MAS)

MAS is a catalog of products available under a simplified licensing model. It provides businesses with a flexible way to select and deploy tools to manage their assets effectively. Key components include:

Manage
  • Formerly known as Maximo.
  • A leading Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system designed to track and manage physical and digital assets across their lifecycle.
Maximo Real Estate and Facilities (MREF)
  • Formerly known as TRIRIGA.
  • An Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) focused on optimizing real estate and facility operations, including space planning, lease accounting, and maintenance.

How Kurve Is Staying Ahead of the Curve

Kurve has been designed to support both Maximo/Manage and TRIRIGA/MREF. As these platforms evolve, Kurve will continue to provide flexible, real-time reporting and data visualization to keep your business ahead of the curve!
